As some of you are aware we have a small chat page up for random gabbering.
We have a bot in there that controls a small trivia/quiz thing that we have but we are sorely in need of more questions for it.
So far between a few members we have built up about 170 question (All are reptile related) does anyone else wanna add any questions??
If so, email me Kehhlyr[AT]weneedcake.co.uk with the question and answer obviously, so I can add it to the quiz.
The chat page is open 24/7 and you tend to find people on it most evenings and randomly during the day, pop in and have a gabber and see if you can beat Gmacs winning streak of 341 wins in a row.
Please also be aware that although it's run partially by forum members it isn't the forum and is there for more a general chitty chat type thing.
Although we do welcome and encourage chat about your snakes/lizards/humans any requests for support will more than likely be pointed towards the search bar on this forum.

Chat may possibly be down at some point this evening, as I'm trying to test the connectivity for those that use ipads/iphones and other (cr)apple machines.
Linux is connecting fine, just for some reason streaming Windows media based streams is very finicky and seems to be totally different depending on setup.
I have Ubuntu 8.04 on an old machine, that runs them fine. Yet the same machine when running anything newer will not allow the WMP based cameras to work. Is very weird. |

Some services may be down on Monday the 11th from about 2pm-4pm.
System maintenance will be going on.

Still not figured out the linux issue, it's in hand though.
But for those that may be interested, Isoldael has allowed me to embed her webcam in her egg clutch. We have a nose pipping out right now.
The first snake (of many) that will hopefully be hatched live on the cams.

your service provider gives out IP addies and the one you have at the moment has been used with a known spammer so the server has blacklisted you. Very little we can do about that until you get one that hasnt been blacklisted.
Try resetting your router until you get one that isnt blacklisted |

Those are Isoldaels, a member from the Netherlands. I cannot remember when they are due to hatch, it's in the next week or so I believe. |

cheers K. I'm running Kubuntu 11.04 with the multiverse repo enabled. I'm showing a shed load of gstreamer stuff already installed but there are lots that are not.
The middle stream is working fine (the Ustream one) though :) |

Haven't fired up my Linux box for a while eeji, but from recollection I needed to enable downloads from all repositories (including the ones that are listed as 'non legal' or whatever they call it nowadays) then do a search for the gstreamer app and then get the plugins as well.
Some linux variations seem to have the plugins split into different places for some reason, it all depends on the linux version.
What version is it and I shall fire up my old box, from recollection that runs Ubu, fed and a very old version of Lindows. I got the cams to run on those.
Not sure what the support is like with newer versions for streaming, but wouldn't be hard for me to update and find out. |
