Just ordered our lovely Jake a new viv! It's the Vivexotic LX48 any of you lovely people have this viv? I ordered it from seapets so unsure when it will arrive?! This may sound silly, but do you have to build it or does it come assembled there wasn't much info about that part!
I am extremely excited and secretly I'm sure Jake is too :) Hurry up delivery!!

>.< even reading the tape measure I can't get it right!! Definitely big enough for my boy then!
kev 5 Posted - 03/05/2012 : 21:33:54
lx 48 is 4 foot. 122cm is 48 inches
Starmist Posted - 03/05/2012 : 21:31:19
Jake is just over 4 foot and this take is 3 foot wide. I was worried then! He doesn't do too much exploring he's quite a lazy little snake until he comes out then he's very excitable! 36" is pretty much 122cm which is 3 foot. I'mpoopwith different measurements, but I think that's right?!

The LX48 will be fine. My boy is 4.5 foot and in a tank that is 48" x 15" x 15", so pretty much the same size.

that will be fine

i'll be getting the 36in one :S

well tbh i can tell he's looking for more room but i think the next one up would swap him as hes still fairly wee
Starmist Posted - 03/05/2012 : 21:22:24
I think it's plenty of room for him, it's 122 cm x 37.5 x 40 cm... I'm worried now...

the LXs seem awfully small, is that enough room for em?
kev 5 Posted - 03/05/2012 : 20:59:55
the last 2 vivs i ordered from seapets took 3 and 4 days to arrive and they are flat packed, easy enough to assemble though
Starmist Posted - 03/05/2012 : 20:43:33
Hell yeah! I'd be cooking and hoovering at the same time! Lol. I quite enjoy putting stuff together! I like following instructions for some reason!! Hopefully i'll be lucky and it'll be here for Saturday so by Monday he can go in it! I can't believe how excited I am. Like a big kid!

I suppose you would build it whilst multitasking 10 other things as well
lupi lou Posted - 03/05/2012 : 20:36:45
i must be the exception to that one lol!! am hopeless at flatpack

That'll be me. :D

It is flat packed, so you'll have to build it yourself. If you've put together any fairly modern flat pack furniture it should be easy.

The only other thing you need to do is seal the bottom and side joints with silicone to stop any water getting into the wood.

would imagine it will be flat pack, i've got the lx36 and o/h said it was the best flat pack item he's ever built!!
