Posted - 16/08/2013 : 16:36:47 Well, my CB12s are great big monsters.
The 'small' one - Andromeda - 116g Aurora - 152g Titan - 157g The big beast (shortly after a three week food strike!) Aphrodite - 167g
Titan and Aphrodite have been on mediums for a couple of feeds now. Aurora is pounding down smalls which aren't leaving much of a bulge at all so is shortly due to go up to mediums and Andromeda is only a couple of feeds away too (although she might have to use up the rest of my smalls!)
Kali is a wee bit chubby, she weighed in at 400g. Her normal weight is 330g but she's been getting Aphrodite's rejects from her hunger strike and it has had an effect on her waistline. Maybe it's time for a little diet, don't want her getting too fat.
Apollo is a chunk! When I got him he was a rather skinny yearling at just 17g.

Now he's a few months over 2 years old, having fathered a clutch of eggs and definitely made up for the rubbish maintenance pet shop diet. 253g!!! Bit of a fatty too, time to reduce feeds to every 2 or even 3 weeks now he's eating medium/large mice.

Posted - 17/08/2013 : 08:55:38 Bazilishka is very, very lazy too. She doesn't even roam, and she's got a big branch, lots of plants, platform... and she 's definitely becoming chubby. I'm starting to wonder, if the general low background temperature is to blame. She only has heat on a heatmat, but she hardly sits there.
What is very strange though, she has an excellent muscle tone - she feels hard as rock, and when she squeezes my arm - oh boy, do I know about it! Whilst Little T, who generally roams all the time, always feels soft, and has never squeezed my arm - only gently to stop himself falling. |

Posted - 17/08/2013 : 01:10:39 They do indeed grow at different rates.weird that all mine are quite large,I've not been feeding excessively and Aphrodite has even had a mini hunger strike after being upgraded to a bigger Viv.
Hmmm,Apollo is the laziest snake I've ever met.even when he's out and about he moves soooooo slow if at all.he has lots of tubes from kitchen rolls in his Viv and loads of decor to climb on and even at night when the others are all cruising around he usually isn't. Not sure a snake gym would do him much good unless i did an assault course he had to cross for his mouse.
He isn't massively obese or anything but he isn't quite loaf shaped so it is time for a bit of slimming I think. |

Posted - 16/08/2013 : 21:37:53 Apollo looks in nice condition - not too fat, at least from the pic. Little T is just over two years old, around 4 foot, and nearly 400g... On XL mouse every 10 -14 days... And still growing!
Aphrodite weighs more, than Seb, who is 2, he had 165g.... Just goes to show, how much they can wary :-) |
