Posted - 19/08/2013 : 21:32:09 Can anyone tell me where the September 22nd 2013 show is held in Doncaster? I've looked on the internet and come up with two possibilities... Doncaster Racecourse or The Dome, Doncaster. Which is correct please? Also is there plenty of parking for those driving to the event? How far is it from the train station if I use BR? Are there plenty of taxi ranks at the station? Too many questions!!!! |

As long as they're safely contained, you can take them on the train |

Posted - 20/08/2013 : 14:38:34 I'm in Sheffield so my train ticket only costs me £3.95. I just need to memorize the walk from the train station to the racecourse.

Posted - 20/08/2013 : 14:22:00 I would be going with Herriotfan if we go.... But the price of the train is so expense! I can't find cheap Taxi's either. And I don't think Herriotfan is keen on driving incase we bring anything home If you no what I mean. Also Herriotfan doesn't really like driving long distances so..... But we despratly want to go as neither of us have ever been to a reptile show in our lives. Unless there is anyone going from the area that we could pay a little fuel cost if they took us.... |

Posted - 20/08/2013 : 10:08:53 I've been wondering about the train too since my uncle(who was supposed to drive me as he wanted to go too) may not be able to Work has told him he may have to work on the 22nd September(he booked it off ages a go) so now I have to find other ways just in case he can't. |

It is at the Racecourse. Not actually the racecourse itself obviously but the big building used for the related indoors stuff If you're near it you won't be able to miss it - the queue is always a big giveaway plus lots of people carrying nondescript paper bags full of reptiles if you get there later on There's loads and loads of parking for drivers almost directly opposite the building, the parking even has parking attendants to tell you where to put your car The train station is 2 miles from the racecourse according to google, unfortunately I don't remember actually leaving a train at Doncaster - always seems to be connections there so I don't know about taxi ranks. However there are tons of taxi companies and I'm sure you could book one quite easily if you didn't want to walk. Or maybe worth looking into buses although I expect on a Sunday they're a bit less regular than most days |
