Sorry about that Smart Bunny! Lol, wanted my say though I'm probably very wrong and it most likely is an Everglades Rat Snake but oh well lol.

Oh wow I didn't realise that, thanks :) Still not 100% convinced as the head looks (to me) fairly corn-like in shape and the stripes look a bit too perfect, but I bow to your greater knowledge ;)

Edit: Oops sorry, went off to eat dinner after starting that post and Acidic jumped in there lol!

Random thought but could it be a Diffused Stripe?

Normal Stripe.

Diffused Stripe.

Everglades Rat Snake.

baby glades start out as blotched, then when they get older the pattern changes to a stripe.

.. and there's the expert lol! Very interesting eeji, I didn't even realise you could get striped everglades (although it makes sense if you get striped corns). Is it likely to be an everglades/corn hybrid then?

Ember's belly started off pure white, but got staedily more yellow/orange as she got older and it's only the start that is white now, so would that not make it harder to tell the difference when it comes to an adult?

looks like an everglades.
If the belly is yellow/orange its definitely a glades, if its white its a striped corn (unlikely as theres no head pattern)

thanks smart bunny you have got some very nice snakes 2 xx

Ooooh he's lovely! Looks like a normal stripe corn to me. The problem with the everglades rats is they are very similar to corns - experts may notice subtle differences in the head shape. They have certainly been mistaken for corns before but tend to have more squared-off saddles. I don't see how that will help when looking at a striped corn though lol! Personally I'd stick with him being a stripe corn, and a lovely one at that :D

Welcome to the forum :)

Hm,difficult, I think it's probably a striped corn snake( just my guess ), but wait for someone who knows more about various rat snakes. :-)

Welcome to the forum, btw :-)
