Hi Guys ive got a 13 month old corn that i think is getting ready to shed hes gone really dull in color and his eyes are kinda glazed over he never bites but i got him out 2 days ago and he was fine on the table and when my daughter reached out for something he struck her. ( never showed signs of doing that before) ive only had him a short while so he hasnt shed with me before can any tell me how long it genrally takes for one around 13 months old to shed. He seems to be showing no interest in his food either where normally he strikes and takes it from me . Could the lack of interest in his food be because hes getting ready to shed and also the fact he bit to do with that also any helpers out there thanks .

Falco always eats when blue (greedy!)

Hi welcome to the forum :) Good luck with the shed, I'm sure snakey will feed for you afterwards, loads of snakes won't eat whilst in blue :)

ahh good thinking ;) he wont need it after the shed tho, too much humidity with corns can cause an RI (repiritory infection)

I actually put a tub with moss in just over a week ago and he has been spending a lot of time in there i dampen it down when its to dry so seems to be helping .

he may benefit from a damp hide, simple enough, marg tub filled with damp moss, some people never use them, some swear by them, every snakes different

if his eyes are already blue it should be about a week

He'll be pretty grumpy cos he's virtually blind, poor little thing
