Posted - 30/03/2013 : 09:24:33 Thanks for posting that Auld - I don't have FB either lol! Wow, it does look a little on the chubby side - even for someone who doesn't know much about carpets, I know they aren't supposed to look like royals lol!
Do they need ceramics as adults? I assume they are too big to get away with heat mats? |

That is an amazing snake, been looking at 888 reptiles looks like i may end up spending my first pay check before i even get it, the local pet shop where i got cyrus from has a juvi carpet python for £75 which is incredibly tame :) whats the husbandry (sorry for poor spelling) like for thease beauties?
Not overly difficult, ambient temps of about 26ish with a hot end of 31-33 ish.
Mines in a rub just now but as adult 3-4 ft x 2ft viv should suffice. |

The story behind it was that it had a hold of him around one arm and he had a hold of it by the head as it was intent on eating him. Needed an extra pair of hands to dis-entangle the tail end. Considering that this is 8 times the weight of Vambo, I would have had a real good grip on its head too.

Cheers Auld. Man that's one chunky jungle I know of somebody else who has a jungle female who is over 8' but she doesn't look as chunky as this one, I'll try and find out how much his weighs
Edit; his was 14lb (6.35kg) when she was 8' 4" and she is now 8' 11" |

She's only 9 feet and 13 kg! Poor wee thing. Rescued from someone who didn't have a clue.
Damn it, its times like this I wish I had Faceache (must resist signing up, must resist) Any chance of posting the picture here Auld with accreditation to the original poster? |

I so want one of thease but was advised not to get one yet as they can be a bit nippy :)
Most carpets are nippy, as youngsters in general though they will calm down with handlng.
Until they try to kill you by making you fall down the stairs... |
