My Salmpn Pink Moulted the other day, I was on hand to take a few pictures, thought I'd share.

Ok first stage is flopping over to one side, she had laid the moulting web you can see, it protects their new soft body when they first come out.

Then the carapace pops off and the abdomen splits down the top and the much larger tarantula starts to wiggle out.

The fangs are moulted too so the new fangs are white and soft (and over a cm long)

Things become a bit wobbly so they roll over onto their back and kick the rest of the moult off.

Totally knackered they remain on their back for ages and curl up their legs.

And the leftovers

And the next day, right way up.

That is amazing to see the process but at the same time sends shivers down my spine, like others have said the moult creeps me out more than the spider itself

That is really fascinating! I'm not wild about T s but not petrified either. My local shopping mall is having an exotics day next week so I'm planning to hold one if they'll let me

That is scary and fascinating, especially the inside of the moult - how on earth does it all work out, how can a whole new spider come out, when there are so many " compartments " in the chest bit ? And the skin is actually scarier, than the spider itself :-)

Great shots. Never ceases to amaze me how much bigger they are after moulting.

Much as I would not want one anywhere near my house, that is a fascinating thread, thanks for posting!
