I bought a 5week old corn snake on Thursday it was also fed that day and i handled it for the first time today, was fine but when i put it back in its viv the baby brought up some of its meal which looked to be the outside of a pinkie. Was it because i handled it to soon and stressed it out? It seems healthy, pooped 3 times, alert, drank last night, active and temps are all good. I feel bad if it was my fault, i think i was selfish and handled it to soon but it's so frigging cute. I will leave it alone until it needs feeding again on Monday.

It won't starve, you have no worry there

I have a heatmat and the hot end is 80.8f i check the temps by an exo terra digital thermometer, i shouldn't feed it for another 10-14 days really? Wouldn't it starve? Its only a baby. I feel bad now! :/

Could be because you handled it. When you have a new snake it is best to let them settle in for a preiod before trying to handle. Its recommended at least 5-7 days.

do not feed on Monday the snake need 10-14 days to build up the juices required for digestion. Have a read of this thread http://www.thecornsnake.co.uk/forum/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=7792 is what to do in the event of a regurge.

As for why it regurged it is possible that you handled to early but cant say for definate. What are the housing temps, how the temps are monitored and regulated etc and as much info as possible to help try to get to the source of the regurge
