Just went to get him out for his weekly feed.. well he was so bloomin fast took me a while to catch him.Eventually cornered him and tried to encourage him on to my hands. He backed up and tried to strike..This is not normal behavior. He ate his 2 pinkies as normal but was very jumpy..This will be our 3rd week could he be due a shed? Eyes are clear and normal.

Might have just got spooked by something... When Annie was a hatchling she was always so placid then one day she freaked out jumped out of her viv and got in strike mode.

Just one of those little things that make corns corns I suppose

Within the first year i believe you can expect anything up to once a month (obviously all snakes are going to be different), the first shed that AURYN had with me he was plenty placid the day before going into blue...the second shed however he was quite grumpy and "flighty" two/three days before going blue...i guessed he was on his way to blue as he felt a bit different

How old is he? Is he a hatchy? If he is then it is relatively normal. They get scared easy. One of my hatchies has done this to me
