Hey guys, to keep it short my snake last shed Feb 7th, so its been almost 4 months since her last shed, she is approx 1 year and 10 months old, feeds well once a week but no shedding. getting to the point where i am worrying slightly and her last shed took just over 2 months.

Any advice or thoughts would be welcome. Thanks :)

double fuzzies tends to work out more than a small any way x
Chez Posted - 02/06/2012 : 21:52:25
yeah i will, i think you meant double fuzzies :p i will see how big smalls are (hopefully not too big or i will just have to double her fuzzies for a bit until she grows more) :)

1 fuzzy a feed at nearly 2 years is a tiiiny amount to be feeding. She's probably not shedding so frequently because she's not being given enough food to grow enough in order to shed. My three 1 year 10 months are all on medium mice. Move her up to double pinks until they're all gone and then start giving her smalls, you'll notice she'll start growing a lot quicker :)

its fine for them to take double prey items, no probs at all :)

so it wont be bad for her to eat 2? i dont know if her stomach will be big enough...
Georgina Posted - 02/06/2012 : 21:17:03
you can double up, depends on you really and your snake, i have one snake that will one eat one food item but another that would eat ten given the chance x

ah right i was noticing a lessening bump, i have quite a few fuzzys left, should i just double feed them until theyre gone? then i can step up to what ever is after fuzzies.

there lies the issue, probs should be on smalls :) step her up a size and she will be shedding in no time x
Chez Posted - 02/06/2012 : 20:29:05
i think she is about 100g somewhere between 2.5ft and 3ft and i feed her 1 fuzzy a week, might step her up a size though :)
Georgina Posted - 02/06/2012 : 20:27:48
thats normal for her age, how much does she weigh, how long is she and what size food and how often do you feed her?
Chez Posted - 02/06/2012 : 20:18:56
the last time she shed it was just over 2 months later from the last one, this time its been almost 4 months without shed
