Posted - 22/06/2012 : 19:43:03 Ok, so I finally got my corn, Seymour, and i love him!! I've been handling him and he is pretty calm about it now. but he has pooped a couple times on my hand! is that normal? idk if its like the warmth from my hand making him want to poop but ya. and then this morning i woke up i saw this really light brown milky looking poop in the corner and it looked different then all the others. how is snake poop supposed to look like? and how often do they go because Seymour goes quite a lot. Thanks Everybody |

Posted - 24/06/2012 : 22:08:39 They'll stop, no tongue flicking, and they get this look. Then, the muscles in their back end will start undulating, like they're moving something down (which they are lol) And then comes the tail lift, as they dont like to get poopy tails, and then it happens lol! There will also be a noticeable bulge just before their vent whilst they're holding a post meal poop, but sometimes they'll have a bit left over just as a treat to leave on your lap! |

Posted - 23/06/2012 : 22:14:35 I've had Spot poop all down my back, he must have been saving it too it was HUGE.
They look all different dependant on whether its poop, poop & urates, just urates, or the fur expulsion I like to call the plait.
It also depends on how long its been out, urates crystalise very quickly to a powder but a fresh one will be a massive sloppy affair.
The water bowl dump is the worse though. |

Posted - 23/06/2012 : 10:48:15 I think it's just that they're moving around 9 times out of 10 when i get my snakes out they are in a hide or something
i've lost count of the times i've had my fresh clean quilt cover tarnished by a stinky snake dump
