Posted - 07/10/2012 : 18:21:23 ok, so last time I had my corn snake out after he went blue, he shed in my hands. He has done this twice now and I was just wondering does he trust me and is doing is because he feels safe, or is this not normal for a corn? :) |

Posted - 19/10/2012 : 13:19:04 I agree with sexybear Snakes do NOT bond with humans, or with other snakes for that matter. They will just eventually have no negative behaviours around you because they are comfortable.
You cannot give emotions to a snake, as they have non. He obviously does not feel threatened however, so thats good :)
Ive only seen one of mine shed once, so you're very lucky!

I've noticed this too. Apollo especially does that, if there's a choice of people to climb on he always picks me. I wonder if it is because I am a safe familiar smell. In my eyes this is a bond He recognises me and prefers me over someone else, that's good enough for me, no matter what the reasons. |

One of my hatchlings shed in my hands the other day, the horrid little so and so spends most of its time trying to bite me, so I really don't think it's got much to do with bonding. Snakes don't bond with humans. |

Posted - 07/10/2012 : 18:25:40 Sounds like you got a very good bond with your corn Some corns do it if they feel very comfortable and safe with the person handling them so well done you |
