Hi everyone,

Was just seeking some help.

I am going to buy another lavender female corn snake, she has a skin issue that comes and goes it is not genetic (she has had a clucth this year and they do not have this) the person that i am buying it from treats it with sudo creme which makes it disappear but it sometimes comes back about 3 moinths later. It looks like the scales have a bobbled texture, she doesnt seem to be in pain and the scales are not sore all that changes is the texture of her scales.

Does anyone have any ideas what this may be?

a33272 it does just look like she has roughled her scaled up but a lil bit more textured, aparantly you just need to put sudo cream on it just after she sheds and she is fine...i think she may just like lying on the heat a lil too long as it is not fungal/bacterial and it never gets sore for her it kinds looks like a lil bit of dry skin as such.

Georgina i am fully aware of the risks if it was oozing with pus and she didnt like it being touched it was heridtory and causing issues every day of her living life i wouldnt take her on, it comes and goes every 3-4 months sudo cream sorts it and she has been seen by a vet and there is no medication he can giver her is its not bacterial ect i just wondered if anyone else had had similar issues and managed to get rid of it perminantly.

I wouldn't take her on if she has a in known health issue. If it is a responsible breeder they would have contact with a reptile vet and should take the snake to get a diagnosis. It's like buying a puppy with a limp that cones and goes, it could be anything. X

Are you sure its not just the scales being roughed up by crawling under stuff. Or dehydration issue

No as i dont have her yet once i get her i will upload. Its being managed and doesnt bother her i was just wanting some help to see if i can get rid of it perminantly?? It almost looks like scarring but the fact it comes back now and again obviously means it isnt scarring.

Sorry i cant be of more help.
