Posted - 01/11/2013 : 02:46:59 I've had my corns since Christmas (and easter) but this is the first time I've seen this, fiesty always sheds so well and I'm just concerned about these two dots of (I'm pretty sure) blood on it around where his cloaca is... Anyone else had this? There was no blood on his body and he's as lively as ever, can anyone ease my mind about it? He's just over 1 years old by a couple of months (born around july last year) and my other snake Vortex who is about 2 or 3 years has never had blood on her sheds, so this is a first and I'm worried! Please help!

As Chris said, absolutely normal, that's the "vent" area. I think ( I might be wrong, though) that's where scent glands are in females, and the hemipenis in males. My Baz has always got blood dots in that area on her shed, the other two sometimes do, sometimes don't. Nothing to worry about.
Ah, yeah it is that area and thanks for clearing that up for me! Just strange seeing that a first time and not knowing about it, haha. Glad its nothing to worry about, thank you :3 |
