Posted - 22/02/2014 : 14:02:18 Are you prepared to deal with eggs? If not, separate them as you don't know the sex of the second snake. Also, if 1 snake is stressed they should be separated anyway.
Actually if the smaller is only 3ft then is unlikely to actually be ready for safe breeding anyway if a female, so... separate them!! |

Posted - 22/02/2014 : 12:41:26 It's recommended that if you house snakes together they should be around the same size. Something I do to help snakes get back their appetites is to heat up the mouse with warm and not hot water. I found that cutting open the head so some brain fluids come out makes them eat almost everytime. I don't know about the rules in the UK but live food is sometimes preferred over frozen. If your snake has never had live food make sure you stay with the snake as mice are known to sometimes attack the snake or try to taste it ;)
You could also try to keep them in seperate viv's for a while and see if there are any changes in the feeding pattern :)
Goodluck! x

Posted - 10/02/2014 : 19:07:43 Is the smaller corn bullying the bigger snake ?? How many hides are in the viv ?? Cohabiting snakes is a subject open to much conversation I however do not recommend it. Stress bullying can happen without you noticing. Have these snakes always lived together or have you just put them together?? .are the temperature's ok ?? |
