Posted - 10/06/2013 : 19:31:35 Benji is my first snake after wanting a one for a long time, preferably i would have had a ball python but they are apparently notorious bad eaters so i figured starting with a corn would be my best bet for a first timer :)
Correct me if im wrong but He's(was popped before i got him) normal corn :)
He's about 13 months, 23"

This is the only picture i actually like of him haha |

Posted - 15/06/2013 : 10:22:26 Thee last pics show how difficult it is to get an accurate representation of their true colouring, because his colours differ in the 2 lots. Best way is to take him outside when it's warm or put him somewhere inside when the sun is shining so that you are using natural light. But even then it's hard to capture it.
He is gorgeous .

Posted - 12/06/2013 : 03:38:56 I think what i meant was more 'common' rather than normal, Generally i think of him as a carolina but wasnt 100% on if that was right :)

Sorry, I didn't mean to confuse you. As Smartbunny has said, normal/wild/Carolina are all the same. A quote from Iansvivarium about the normal corn snake - 'This is where it all started - the classic corn snake, as found in the wild across south eastern USA'. http://iansvivarium.com/morphs/species/elaphe_guttata/normal/
Considering the fact that the definiton of normal is 'The usual, average, or typical state or condition.', they are FAR from normal !!

Posted - 10/06/2013 : 20:56:31 Normal/carolina/wild type/classic - all mean the same :) (Well strictly speaking you can get other wild types as well eg Miami, but they basically mean the same :P)
What a gorgeous little chap, nice and bright, congrats :D |
