Picked up my 2 new hatchlings today. I would have posted better pics but they are very lively little buggers lol. Don't know what sex they are so will have them sexed at a later date. There was some discussion as to their morphs, they have reddish eyes and their father is a Carolina and mother a Creamsicle.

OK thanks

Great news. Don't just wait a couple of days though - if the anery was too nervous to feed wait a week without any handling then try. Trying too often will make him/her even more stressed and less likely to feed.

There are so many morphs its hard to know what they are unless your knowledgable on such matters. Anyway the hatchlings have fed nicely as has the Lavender, however, the Anery isn't feeding so will give it a couple of days

Both looking lovely, ahhhh rootbeers, that was the hybrid name I couldn't remember lol :D I didn't realise you could get ghost rootbeers though, so would never have got that one!

That was the first thing I noticed, it looks like a horses snip!
Love the colours on the second one.

She has a lot of experience and knows hybrid morphs quite well. I'd go with what she says :-)

This was what Shiari on Ians Vivarian has put on the Morphs of 3 of the snakes as I know the other 2 are Anery and Lavender........The first snake is a normal motley.

For the babies, dad has proven to be het hypo and het anery.

The first baby is a hypo rootbeer, the second baby is a ghost rootbeer. Because their mother is a creamsicle (an amelanistic hybrid of a corn snake and an emoryi rat snake) all her offspring will be hybrids.

Yeah I know, very addictive, its the different morphs that interest me

Still intrigued as to the hatchlings morphs so any thoughts on this would be greatly appreciated

Either way 2 lovely little lively additions. On top of that just picked up a Lavender and Anery today so that now makes 5 lol

Aahh, that's much better picture. And now I'm totally lost - if the first hatchling has a pure red eyes, it's a creamsicle, but the other one ? Hypo fudgsicle? Ghost fudgsicle? Snowsicle? You really will need eeji for this one.... On the previous thread, I was convinced the Ultra gene is involved somewhere.

They are both lovely, and look at that star on the first hatchie's head!
