So I have had all 5 sexed and it seems that Boromir is a girl lol, so is my Ghost and due to my Anery being a boy (sold to me as a girl) the shop swapped him for a 44" long girl Reverse Amel (pictured). The 2 Rootbeers are both boys.

Lovely Amel Reverse okeetees have wider borders of white around the saddles generally.

We've got 2 females only 3 months apart in age - the slightly older will be 3 at the end of August, is nearly 5ft and over 500g now (and also on a diet, has only been fed fortnightly since Sept!), whereas the younger will be 3 in December, is 330g and only 3.5ft despite still feeding weekly, so length is really not an indicator of age I'm afraid.

Sorry you seem to have had such a mix up with the sexes Anthony . A word of warning though, one of mine was probed at a reputable reptile shop and was a male, who then laid infertile eggs a few months later ! No sexing is entirely accurate, except mating of course . Does this mean name changes for Boromir and your ghost? For me Silvesta became Silvi .

She's beautiful . No way to tell age from length I'm afraid. All corns grow differently and a lot has to do with their genetics, incubation and then how they were looked after. My female is under 4' and won't grow any bigger because of bad husbandry before I got her . I would guess that at 3'8" she still has some growing to do, but that is just a guess.

Xxx

Still gorgeous :p is it a snake-dude or a snake-chick?
rifleman6925 Posted - 06/03/2014 : 20:40:49
Ahhh I see, well a normal Amel is fine
SilverWings Posted - 06/03/2014 : 20:38:26
Just looks like an amel to me? I thought you might mean reverse okeetee but that's not one, reverse okeetees are amels with really thick white borders.

SilverWings Posted - 06/03/2014 : 20:23:48
