My first little ones have started pipping!! This one looks like a Carolina in real life(looks Anery in this photo though) and the one next to him I haven't seen yet! So happy right now!
After last years fail, Sakana and Cereus are officially parents!

Hopefully Silverwings. And thanks you two! They are all so cute even if they do try eating me lol.
Mort13 Posted - 10/08/2014 : 08:32:29
Aw congratulations on your other little hatchlings
Poor little Pip, hopefully its something he may grow out of.
SilverWings Posted - 08/08/2014 : 23:40:24
Daw, poor sideways snake. They do some odd things sometimes though, might juts be a quirk, or maybe he hasn't got the hang of his body yet. I found Checkers once moving around upside down under her newspaper o.O I was so shocked I couldn't even get a camera, sat watching her for ages before she came out and carried on like nothing strange had happened.
AcidicAngel Posted - 08/08/2014 : 18:19:48
Well I'm now convinced "Pip" has a neurological problem of some form. This was last night during a clean out... He was fine for ages and then suddenly he seemed to tip on his side without even realizing.. I put him in the "clean out tub" and he stayed like this and even tried to move on his side. Which in turn righted him and then he started moving.

So I think I'll give him a chance as he has good days and bad days, and if he makes it and he eats he'll need a very special home where he is kept alone and never bred from.

Some angry snakes from last night during clean out lol.

And last update, last two hatchlings came out this morning So my incubator is officially empty of corn snakes. I'm currently hoping for some eggs from mine and my fiancee's leo's now. Zara(Blood x G-Project) x Zeus(Sunglow RAPTOR het Blizzard)

Haha, well I think Sakana is definitely proven het Amel Woke up to this lol. There were four but I had already moved one.

And here are the four little Amels all separately.

"Sprite"

"Fanta"

"Pepsi"

"Cola"

As you can see... The names have taken on the theme of fizzy pop... XD

Oh and a little update on "Pip" He's absorbed the rest of his cord and is happily whizzing around his tub today. Came out for cuddles while I cleaned him out and switched him to dry paper towel rather than damp.

And below.

And here's "Snap"(No. 7) and "Tango"(No. 11) during clean outs after I noticed they had tipped their waterbowls. Tango hatched late last night just before I went to bed.

"Snap"

Didn't want to go back in after lol.

"Tango"

You named one Basilishka ! But I'VE already got Bazilishka ( well, with Z )

Gorgeous babbies, I love Squeak, and I hope Pip makes it. In fact they're all lovely, and, like Silver Wings, I think giving them names was a tactical mistake....

I had to name them! My mum was getting fed up of 1, 2, 3, 4, etc... XD But I don't think naming them is going to be a problem.. None of them are names I would choose for a pet which I was careful about. Especially with Snap, Crackle and Pop lol. I saw the rice Krispies on the side and thought of it XD

Thanks, Squeak is cute

So now I have ten hatchlings out Here they are in order - Minus "Pip" which is number four. The little special one. He's at the bottom along with some video's of how he is when being handled.

Excuse the bad pictures... Some of them were more interested in striking at me and the camera than sitting nicely lol.

1 - "Titch"

2 - "Zip"

3 - "Basilishka"

5 - "Drago"

6 - "Orla"

7 - "Snap"

8 - "Crackle"

9 - "Pop"

10 - "Squeak"

"Pip"

This is what he looks like below now.

Video's - These aren't the best as my camera doesn't like focusing much and he sat still for the majority.
This is how he sits when being handled... On his side slightly and oddly twisted.

And this is his reaction to being touched.

Sorry I couldn't embed them so had to link to them instead.

Four more out now Pics when I've had tea lol.

I now have 3 Amels out and 5 Normals. All doing good apart from my little special one I've noticed he's not moving much and he's not controlling himself much. He flipped himself over earlier while crawling around and didn't even seem to realize... He just sat there almost fully on his back... As strange as it sounds, Stargazer? None of the others are having any trouble and Sakana and Cereus aren't from known Stargazer lines.... But could he be?

So sorry about the twins xx
I like Zip because of reason for his name!
Mort13 Posted - 06/08/2014 : 15:41:03
Aw I saw those twins on fb earlier, didn't realise it was you. So sorry
Fingers crossed for the rest of your little ones though, they are lovely
AcidicAngel Posted - 06/08/2014 : 11:26:07
Haha, yeah I can Razee! So happy she proved out though

Freddiesmum: These all seem to be pretty quick, pip and out in say 12-24 hours. One of them was trying to be too quick unfortunately though and it seems I have a bit of a special needs snake...

He came out of his egg last night and I saw he was still attached via his umbilical cord so instead of bothering him I left him to detach himself. This morning I thought I'd lost him because he was so still.. He barely moved when I touched him but he had managed to detach himself mostly. He still has some of his cord attached so for now he's on damp paper towel. It looks really wet in these photo's for some reason though. He had perked up a little before I had to leave for my course but he's a little disorientated and seems to have quite a slow recognition so will keep an eye on him. He's just a little all over the place right now.

Here's what's left of his cord that's attached to him still.

On the plus side I have two other healthy babies out. Another Normal and an Amel Both had quite the attitude when they were still in the incubator tub being moved over lol. The Amel has calmed down now though and is OK. The Normal is a little calmer but when I moved him he was striking everything. My hand, his tub, his waterbowl.. Everything.

Here's the little "I hate everything" Normal. He's nicknamed "Zip" because of how fast he is at striking.

And the little Amel which has no nickname yet.

Freddiesmum Posted - 06/08/2014 : 10:03:07
Titch is lovely!

How long roughly does it take from 'pipping' to being completely out and about?
Razee Posted - 06/08/2014 : 08:06:51
Pippies! Congrats on the lovely babies, it's a real shame about the twins, but at least you've got the others. And I think you can now safely change Sakana's signature to " definitely het amel " :-)
AcidicAngel Posted - 05/08/2014 : 22:42:05
So "Number One" has a new nickname Titch. So here's a little introduction to Titch.
Titch is a calm little Normal het Amel, Caramel, Hypo who doesn't have a care in the world. Excuse the little wet spot, I put my finger in his waterbowl by accident...

FYI, he does have a hide in the tub, I left it out for the photo to show just how tiny these little ones are

And here's some of the other noses.
I have eight in total just sticking their noses out right now. Three confirmed Amels now, the other five look like more Normal's but two are hiding under bubbles when I check them so it's a guess lol.
Ten more to pip after these

Freddiesmum Posted - 05/08/2014 : 19:54:55
