As a kinda rough guide, if you layed a ruler flat on the fattest part of a corn as an adult, most would say between 1inch and 1 and a half inch.

Thats a Carolina Corn, also known as "Wild type" "Normal" or sometimes "Classic"

How big is your thumb?
lotabob Posted - 16/11/2010 : 23:46:51
Its the Californian Arnie Corn Snake, it used to be a muscle bound snake now its just a bit fat.

Is it possible to be a bit more descriptive of him as well, just to clarify the species.
California Corn is new to me.

Go off body shape rather than anything else, its been said on here quite a bit that the body shape should be loaf of bread shaped and not pointy at the spine. If its not skinny in build I wouldn't worry as some snakes are just bigger or smaller than others.

Ah ok trouble is i dont no his exact age he could even be much as a year will keep eye on him he looks in amazin condition though!! thanks 4 reply

If he was as thick as a thumb at that age I would be worried! Corns are meant to be quiet skinny snakes, eel like. So yes, that is normal.
