Posted - 27/11/2010 : 22:23:29 The humidity in my corn snakes viv has been somewhat low lately, i've been misting it quite a bit for the past few days but it seems to always be a little too low.
While the humidity is still safe for him, i prefer to keep closer to the highest recommnded just in case.
Is there anything I can do to help keep it up? Also, should i be using warm or cold water to mist?
thank you for the help |

Posted - 27/11/2010 : 23:53:57 corns dont need a high humidity so 40% is fine, but low humidity may provide problems suring shedding so will be worth giving a misting every other day when it comes to shedding time, use lukewarm water not cold or hot (if that makes sense). |

Posted - 27/11/2010 : 23:30:35 That's slap bang in the middle of the recommended range. Not low at all considering outdoor humidity has bottomed out at 10-15% over the past few days. I'm guessing that this has had a knock on effect as I've noticed my Vivarium's humidity has dropped too to about 40%, but between 30-50% is fine. |

Posted - 27/11/2010 : 22:35:36 i dont mist mine at all apart from when she is in shed maybe a spray or to or add a water bowl in the hot end so it condensates and another one in the cool end to drink :) |
