Posted - 05/01/2011 : 13:40:27 Ok am a bit confused, have been researching about keeping corn snakes as i have a spare viv,am slowly buying up the extra things i neeed (mainly heatmat and hides) as the viv used to have lizards in,anyhow some things i have read have said i don not need lighting(have got lighting for lizards already) but somne say i need blue/red lighting Can someone help clear this up please as i want to get everything right and set up before i get a snake. If i do need ligthing what is best?currently i can fit two screw lightbulbs onto the lid of the viv(there is guards in place so the snake wont be able to hurt itself) or would i need get sone other form? Thanks Tobs |

Ok thanks,so any lighting is purly for cosmetic reasons then?
Yes, but if you do decide to use a light for viewing purposes then it must be guarded to avoid the snake getting burnt. |
