is the HABISTAT TEMPERATURE THERMOSTAT or the Habistat Mat Stat 100w good to controlle a rack heated with heat tape in a paralle circuit ?? and which one is the best ?? thx

I use a Habistat mat stat (max 100 watt) on 2 Vivexotic LX 36 vivs. I have two 11x12 inch mats at 12watt each mat.


i am about to post a couple of pics on that set up right now....

yeah i only use that stat for my mats it holds a very accurate temperature with no more than +/- 0.5 Oc

aslong as u dont go over the rated wattage they ultimatly do the same job, as SB said a pulse stat is better it will give u a more stable temperature compaired to an on/off stat

Ideally you want a pulse stat, very accurate and rather than doing on/off it sends little pulses of electricity as and when needed.
