not nit picking but you know that 14 inches is 2 inches more than a foot right? ;)

you are right tho, size is fine.

Oh dear, I'm terrible at maths

quite right louise. if you have trouble keeping it warm, you can cover some of the sides. polystyrene is great for this but looks awful...ive got a 4x2x2 glass viv that im not using at the mo...god knows how im gunna keep that warm!

@shaunrp78- no worries, glad i could help!

if he has adequete hiding spaces and cover, the bigger one will be ok for him. that said at his current size i would keep him in the small one (i assume one of the plastic faunarium type things yeah?) as a rule of thumb if the snakes length is equal to, or less than, the length of the front and one side of the viv, he's not too big for it. with small snakes like yours tho even that rule seems a bit clean cut, he should be fine in the faun for a while but when you want to move him up, give him plenty of cover, lots of hides and some plants etc so he can move a round without feeling vulnerable.

well i am not expert but snakes like small surroundings and your snake is only 5 months old i still have my 6 month old in a smallish started viv but wait and see what other people say on here.
