Now I know we are still in january but thinking ahead to the summer, if it gets warm, like 25c and above, I am assuming the cool end temps in our snakes vivs/fauns are going to rise too.

Do we need to do anything to cool the vivs down or are most snakes happy to just take a dip in their water bowl to cool off?

Seem to have lots of questions today.....

the problem with fans is that it will just be blowing the warm air around and not cooling it so you'd need to look into air conditioning. If you think about the cornsnakes natural range, it goes right down to the bottom end of Florida so they can easily handle our crappy summers :)

funny i was think about this the other day, fans would be ok but its a case of finding cool air to circulate round which would be a problem.im thinking if it gets too hot maybe swapping the plastic vents for mesh 1's and changing water twice a day fingers crossed that should be ok.
saying all that though when summer does come it'll probably be bloomin rain storms and low temps

main thing is to make sure you faun/viv isnt in direct sunlight, the cool end will be what it will be unfortunatly, some have tryed putting small fans on the vents to try and get the temps down but decided it wasnt worth it. i tryed putting a big fan near mine blowing air along the back of the vivs but it was pointless as didnt really change anything only the humidity in my pythons viv.

like you said if there hot they will get in the water bowl, also in the summer i tend to put my substrate thick in the cold end so she can burrow in it as its cooler in the deep substrate
