Hi guys. I've had my carolina for just over two weeks now, when I brought her home I left her for a week with no holding, only put my hand in faun to change water. The shop told me she was about 4 months old, I've been handling her once a day for about 10 mins for the last week but she is still very nervous. If she's in the hide I gently lift the hide and she darts round the faun,burying in the aspen.and sometimes tail rattling. Once she's in my hands she calms quickly. When should she start to calm down, and realise I'm not a threat?am I just being impatient.? |

I have had my first corn for 4 weeks now. he can still be a pain to get out of the viv i just grab him quickly in one smooth movement my hands underneath him.. once out he is fine |

what to do is carry something around with you for 24 hrs (a hanky or something) then place it in her faun. This should hopefully get her used to your scent and might (fingers crossed) help her to feel more comfy around you. I have used this method a few times and it seemed to have worked for me. |
