WOW, thank you all for your feed back, sorry i have not been on since i posted the thread.
Yes, there are opinions and views that are varied, some based on experience, some based on common sense... and everyone is entitled to their own opinion, i thank you all for yours. I do hope no bad feelings were aroused between anyone.

I do understand that snakes in the wild can go days/weeks without finding food and water and still survive... I have read the posts and taken on board ALL you have said, I will sort out the watering and allow a trusted friend to my house, even giving the alarm code :)

Thank you ALL once again... plz carry on the good work you all do on this site
