Posted - 09/02/2012 : 19:32:36 dunno if this is me being stupid or not, but i have a heat mat with thermostat and a digi thermometer the probes are positioned on the floor in the middle of the heat mat, which is reading 27.5 at the moment, but my thermometer which is half way up is readying only 20/21. Is this a problem? at the moment Trevor is sat in his hide on the heat mat but Usually he sits kind of in the middle of the hot and cool end underneath a branch which the heat mat doesn't touch, but at the moment he is warm.. Just wondering if it's a problem that the air temp is so low? x |

Posted - 10/02/2012 : 07:41:53 Oh right, don't worry about that, corns like to sit on something hot, they are not bothered by the air temp hence why people tend to use heat mats which heat the viv just above them rather than lamps (although some use lamps/both). That's why everyone says to put the probe on the mat - go by that one |
