Not sure where to put this.

I recently bought this: http://www.surreypetsupplies.co.uk/trixie-steps.html for Gil's RUB.
When it arrived I realized I didn't know what wood it was made out of though I'm worried that it looks like pine. Can anyone tell me what it is made of?

I've got the table version for my MBK and its fine. He loves lounging about on it,the big show off.
Ps.its not a stupid thing to worry about, its good you thought about it rather than just assuming.

Apparently, they are made of birch wood, which is considered a hard wood, and should be fine for snakes!

If animals can chew on it, then it's safe as pine is toxic to furries apparently too. The only animals that I know can munch on pine is parrots :/

Thanks, that looks hopeful.

Not sure if it's any help but apparently they're safe for animals to chew:
