My carolina shadow is a dark brown at its head but her colour starts to fade further down her body. any idea why?

My Carolina is getting lighter and lighter in colour with each shed.

It's just how colouring goes, specially on younger snakes. Their belly goes more orange nearer their bottom too when older.
