I have four corns all bought from baby's which I have had no problems with. Around a month ago I bought no.5 - a 3 year old! She seems so moody! The previous owner used to feed her once a week, so I have stuck to that but she hasn't eaten any of the mice I have attempted to feed her.I try to get her out almost every day and she rattles her tail and strikes at me. I'm only 14 so it's making me scared of all my other corns.

Your new snake may of not been handled often so is unsure and is only being naturally defensive but with time will become secure around you end up like your other 4. Good luck.

Seems like you are doing the right things, as tordyjo said leave her for a week with one of your socks in there and when you do finally go to get her out make sure she is awake before you grab her so you don't startle her.
As for being a bit weary of your other snakes, try not to be as you said you have had no issues with them before so they will be no different then they were before you got no.5. Your new snake may of not been handled often so is unsure and is only being naturally defensive but with time will become secure around you end up like your other 4. Good luck. |

She's in my bedroom where it's quiet, I only go in there to sleep and attempt to get her out! All the others are in my living room where it's louder.. I put her in my bedroom for her to settle in better. |

Even though she's in the same viv, your house will have different smells and sounds. Where in your house is her viv, is there a lot of noise or movement near her, it may be worth trying to find her a nice quiet spot somewhere to see if that helps. |
