i need a way to secure a heat mat under my faunarium, any suggestions? i wasnt sure because obviously the heat may affect what i secure it with

It can be secured with aquarium sealant

Yeah securing causes hassle when cleaning, I've never fixed a heat mat down, I've fixed probes to heat mats but left the heat mat loose.

I just place my plastic faun on top of my heatmat and the weight if it holds it down.

The heatmats under my fauns are just sat on top of the surface with the faun straight on top, its on a cheap 'fake wood' type unit and has been fine with the stat in place
