Hello,

ok so i have now got my set up all sorted... (not collected snake yet, doing that at the end of the month) heat matt, pulse stat and digi therm with 2 probs, just have a few questions...

1. i have switched it all on and the cold end says 19.5 is this ok?
2. temps seem to be up and down abit should i just leave it on for a while, but at the moment its around 28.5 is this hot enough or should i turn the stat up a lil?

thanks for any info you can give me as i am new to all this.

cheers

Yes, mine is that one as well and I read the post thinking it was going on and off.

Glad you are getting everything sorted before snakey comes. Make sure you post pics when you get it home

Once the temperature stablizes, the Pulse stat does what it says on the tin.
It should repeat flash on/off, half second on then 1 second off. (approximately)

ahhh right to be hones i wasn't looking much at my stat as it connected to the back of the viv i was just watching the therm but when i did look at the back i did see it flash... should it be flashing constantly then?

Habistat pulse stat 600w? i got it going between 29.2 and 29.5 in temps tho so i would have thought that quiet accurate?

looks like it has settled down abit now hot end tems are readin 29.2 and the the light for the pulse comes on at this temp... it seems to go up to 29.5 then starts to go back down until 29.2 and so on is this still ok? thanks

Sounds fine, the cool end is the ambient temp of where your set up is. Draughts can change cool end temp drastically. Would turn off for now and start again about a week before getting snakey.

Temps are fine, not much you can do about the cooler end, corns are very hardy and will always find the spot that suits them.
NexivRed Posted - 13/07/2012 : 18:41:27
I think a temperature for the hot end is recommended to be between 27 and 29. Mine always seems on the lower end, but anything between that is fine.

I don't know about the cold side and will be interested to find out. Mine seems to fluctuate between 20 and 23.
