I am so pleased with my girl! She's an 09 baby, so about three years old and I bred her to my male sometime earlier this year. She laid eggs on the 21st May, 28 of them but now down to 22 because of a few infertile ones.

That's all great, they should hatch soon. Recently she's been feeding on and off, I put it down to coming near to a shed (though she didn't show the signs) and thought nothing of it. Yet tonight, at 9:41pm I came home and found 10 pearly white eggs, and two intfertile! I think this is called 'double clutching' but I haven't read into it because it was only reccommended for experienced breeders? Anyway, I'm a complete breeding noob, and this is my girl Lyra's first (second lol) clutch, so I am VERY impressed!

Poor thing was looking skinny after the first one, tonight she's all skin and bones!! Not literally, but she's incredibly light. I swear she didn't look gravid at all, though was very active for the last few nights, probably looking for a nesting box D: Fed her some pinkies (either that or largeish mediums) to try and give her a boost. And when incubating, I hopefully won't make the same humidity/air flow mistakes that I made before

YYYYYYYYEEEEEEEEEEEAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!

How did that happen?!

Oh, is this normal for corns to do? Why do they do it? Anything in particular I need to do because of it?

Haha, excellent! That sounds a little late to double clutch, but they'll do what they want to do!

nothing to worry about, it's not uncommon for corns to double clutch. bred 2 females this year, 1 double clutched. your female will need to be on her own so she can build herself up (weight wise). for the 1st few feeds offer her a size smaller mouse

is nothing unusual for corns to double clutch, it isnt down to experienced breeders snakes do it themselves. they will retain the sperm and heyho eggs 2nd time round ;)

Just treat her same as last time, offer smaller food than normal in the morning.

I just realised that there were several different sections... shouldn't have just clicked randomly until it came up with 'new topic' lol. If this is in the wrong place, sorry! Maybe it should be in Breeding or General Posts >.<
