Ophion's about to have her very first shed with me! So excited. She was due a feed today which I offered to her but she didn't take it, so I'll wait until she's done. Should I offer again when she's out of blue but before she's shed, or until the whole shed is complete?

Can't wait to see what she looks like!

Well I decided to leave the mouse in with her for half an hour before throwing it away. My other half had brained it for me as well. When the time came I asked him if he could take it out whilst he was upstairs, but he said it had gone! And low and behold my snakey and a fair sized bump :D
I'm quite pleased actually, cos she did really need it after only having two pinkies the feed before (she's now on fluffs). I also think she's younger than I was told, so feel 7 days might be a bit too much for her.

Fingers crossed that she lets you see her shed. Some snakes don't like to eat when shedding, looks like she might be one of them.

Thanks for the advice :) I'll wait until she's completely shed. She'll probably be up for it then.

I find sonny won't take food once he's in the clear but before the shed, i like to think its because they're wary of having a full tummy when the time comes, also he has a habit of refusing the day he sheds too, its like he's too tired to eat. Do with this info what you will :P

i'd wait untill she's shed personally, you can try before she'll either take it or won't. good luck for a sucessful shed
