I thought you had to leave it for the full 7 days before feeding. Even if this meant missing a meal?

You can offer food and your snake will eat if it wants to, mine fed the day after i got her as that was her normal feeding day, 3 months old now and never missed a feed.
The only thing it may mean is a wasted mouse if it doesn`t eat.

I have noticed tho that he is always on the cool side in the cave not seen him in at the hot end once? Is this normal? Hot end is 28.5c cool end is around 20. He not had any food for a week and a half now due to the 7 day period. So it this all ok? Thanks again sorry for all the questions but I just want to make sure every thing is corect lol

Just been doing a spot clean and found he has shed, looks like a good shed as well full head with eyes and tail tip on there so that's a good sign...

He must of been out his hide as well as the shed was in the the jungle vine

I have 2 corns, one's always out and one's always hiding LOL

The 7-day settle in is HORRIBLE, good luck with that, it's worth the wait though to hang in there

Yeah everything normal about snakey. At that age he would be shedding every 4wks or so that will make him hide away even more but he will soon be out and about.

Hi, this is normal behaviour , best to leave your new arrival to settle in for 7 days.
Once Snakey has settled in you can begin to handle.
I have one that spends all her time out, one that has his head out watching all the time and one we hardly see.
Congratulations on your new addition , the first of many maybe , this is very addictive.
Any questions just ask and someone will help no matter what it is.

Thanks, i knew they hide away alot but i would have thought i would have seen some thing by now...

i know i got to just leave him well alone to settle in. so i doing that. hopefully i will see him soon..

i think he might be due a shed soon as well as his last one was a month ago and he isonly 2 months old. could this have some thig to do with it?

will try and gets some pics next week when he has settled...
Thank
