Hey people

Ive got a clutch of eggs in the incubator.

Ive got 14 good eggs and now 5 bad eggs but im losing an egg almost every other day!!

They only have about 1 or 2 weeks left but at this rate ill have none.

The good eggs left have started getting little patches on the tops a sort of cream colour! Is this normal??

The temp in the incubator verys between 26.9c-28.1c and humidity is at 80%

Any ideas??

p.s there is loads of mold in the tub around the dead eggs and covering some of the good eggs

Ive just candled them all and i have 11 with veins and 2 i cant see.

The dented eggs all have no veins so they are dead :( out of 19 eggs laid at this stage i have atleast 11 left.

The mold is mainly on the old dead eggs and the 2 i cant see.

Checked humidity and its at 83%

wouldnt worry about the humidity at this stage, they have all the moisture they need from the earlier stages. If they're only a few weeks away from hatching sounds normal to me.

The humidity sounds a little low to me but mold isn't good. Sometimes eggs dent in when humidity isn't high enough. How many days have they been incubating for?

Dents is normal - it means the babies are absorbing the nutrients from the yolk and getting ready to hatch! :D I'm not all that clued up on breeding, but I thought the humidity was supposed to be a bit higher? Good luck, hope they are all OK :)

I havent candled them no as i dnt have a good torch to do it! and the fact they are in a big pile stuck together lol

About 6 of the eggs are swelling nicely but the others are staying rather small and a few have bents in now.

Got any pics? Mine have light creamish patches all over them, but the eggs inside are healthy. One is even a little mouldy, but again, it looks healthy inside. Have you candled them? What do they look like? Sounds like your are the same age as mine, mine show some nice looking veins, and a shadow on the bottom half (assuming it's the snake and yolk).
