Anyone actually know of any kind of blue snake?
Saw one that had been photoshopped, but done really well, can't remember exactly what it was just some corn morph.
Looked really good, anyone know of any genuine ones?

Florida blue garters were my first 'pet' snake back in about 1992 or 93.
Cracking things they were.

Ohhhh, very tempted by a Florida Garter, that is so unusual and not too overpowerful with the blue

I'm pretty sure racers are non-venomous
I saw people on RFUK not too long ago showing off a pair on san fran garters

and i'm on the look out for a blue beauty!
closely related to my taiwanese beauty

I'm not after buying one just so people know, although there is a Dilute morph on my wishlist, which I found on IansVivarium and is an absolute beauty.
Was just interested to know of a blue snake other than the Blue GTP.

Pretty too, maybe a bit dangerous for me though, K you'd be fine your always getting bit, just make sure your laptop is under 100 paces away so you can tell us about it, maybe post a picture should the brown hit the fan.
Kehhlyr Posted - 04/01/2011 : 19:14:01
Depends on what you're after as well.
My poor useless memory says that there's a coral snake nicknamed the 100 pace snake that is a vibrant blue.
It's nicknamed the 100 pace because apparently that about how far you could walk after being bitten.

/ninja edit

The Malaysian Coral Snake is the name.
Google is my friend.

Wow, I bet they cost a small fortune. Would be a real bugger to work out if they are in blue too.
gmac Posted - 04/01/2011 : 19:08:17
@ lotabob, Not as far as I know, there are adult blues. There are a few colour variations for thes guys
Doogle Posted - 04/01/2011 : 19:06:37
I Have Dilutes on my site and they are known as `Blues` And pretty much as blue as you will get a corn!

Here is one of them!

The motleys are very blue too!
lotabob Posted - 04/01/2011 : 19:02:36
Dont the blue ones turn green as they get older though and eventually will just be green?
gmac Posted - 04/01/2011 : 18:55:13
you can get blue, green tree pythons on occasion
lotabob Posted - 04/01/2011 : 18:50:51
Not heard of a blue snake. Other than the Mexican Black King Snake which appears a very very dark blue.

Or Spot he is very blue today
