Hi,
had our snake about a month now, I believe she is 2 yrs old. She eats, poops , had her first shed, loves being handled. Absolutely fab.
She is about four and a half feet long and I thought she was a good size, until I looked at some vids of snakes and their girth must be nearly the same as my wrist.
So that makes me wonder. Are these snakes needing some exercise, or do I need to feed "stevie" up a bit.
How big do these beautiful creatures get ?

That is the thing. You cannot say that a snake is overweight because of it's weight to length ratio, in the same way that BMI indexes say that I am overweight (14.5 stone, 6'1", but built like a brick toilet).

The best way to tell is by having the snakes weight, length, and a pic...

I know Plissken is a good weight lol, my girl just seems to hold weight oddly. My male is just as chunky as Plissken but only about 800 grams. Nice shape and everything. Sakana... Nope, fat.

Remember Fat is 'bigger' the muscle.

Pliskin probably has better body comp (bf%) then your lady AA..

He weighs more than my 5'6" female who IS overweight currently!

Recent pic. Looks fine to me!

And I thought my Mums Moroki was a chunk.. Lol. He is 4ft, and weighs about 500g. He is a thick one though, and definitely not overweight, nice 'loaf' shape. He is fed on a large/jumbo alternate fortnights. Oh and he's about 4 yr old.

My Rubi on the other hand is about 3, is fed 1 medium every week, about 4 ft long and about 180g. Again she is a nice shape, and definitely not underweight (tent shaped).

It all comes down to each individual snake, some grow thick and fast whereas others, don't!

8ft I would call a load of bs :P

Snakes with the girth of your wrist are very unhealthy, or a different type of snake completely, corns are not meant to be royal size, they are thin.

4 - 5ft is average, but can be 3ft - 6ft. I've got an adult at 3ft 8 and another at 5ft 1.

Depends on the snake really. Some females can only just get above 3ft as adults, they're not big at all but others can reach 6 feet.

4 1/2 feet long is a good size for a corn, about average really. A corn as thick as your wrist sounds very overweight to me, unless you have particularly small wrists...

Being as thick as your wrist sounds huge to me (unless you are really small or a child ) can you post any pictures with something else in the shot for size comparison?

Somewhere between 4 -> 5 ft is a good average for a Corn. Anything much bigger than 5 ft is exceptional rather than the rule. Nothing wrong with a bit of exercise but there is no need to 'beef' up. If you over-fed you will just end up with an obese snake and it is very hard work to get them to slim down again. Stick to 1 mouse every 7 days and once he's older you can stretch that out to 1 large every 10 -> 14 days, depending on the size of him. That's what I feed my Big-T who is 5 ft and around 8 years old.

4-5ft is about average but some can get to around 6 ive never seen anything bigger than 6 my biggest is over 5

Some sites say corns max out at 5ft some say 6ft. I've even read one say 8ft before but never, ever seen a corn that big. My two ar eboth over 5ft. The females is 5'6" and the male is 5'2". I'd say 6ft max. She sounds big for 2 years old.
