I would much appreciate it if someone could tell me what type of corn snake I have!

There was a creamsicle ventral photo on IV I shall look it out as it was mine lol

IV is a baaaad bad bad place, it makes me want all the snakes, ever! lol

I can see what you mean about the very slight difference in colouring, there are no belly pics to see if there is a difference, poo.
But basically a creamsicle is an amel corn with with great plains rat snake genes?
Razee Posted - 10/05/2014 : 14:05:47
I don't think they do, they are hybrids of a corn snake ( amel ) and a great plains rat snake. They will be called creamsicles, even if they have just a small part of the great plains rat snake genes in them, so can look like a normal amel. But the pics that I've seen , they have a pale, almost peachy colours, sometimes quite yellowy. I have seen 2 adult creamsicles in real life, both were stunning, the colours were almost luminous.

Have a look at Ians Vivarium, guide to corn snake morphs, they are there, under hybrids. But beware, that website will make you seriously addicted, if you aren't already :-)

Do creamsicles and amels have different bellys to make it a little easier to tell the difference?
Just as I thought I was getting the hang of this morph thing lol

Either way, amel or creamsicle, s/he is still a purty lil thing.

Do you know what - creamsicle was the first thing that came to my mind ( don't know why, as they can look very much like amels, and without knowing the parents, it's difficult to guess ). I just noticed many creamsicles have those pretty pale colours that yours have. :-)
gmac Posted - 10/05/2014 : 01:02:42
Nothing I can see there to show it's not a creamsicle.

Cool! The snake was sold as a creamsicle but wasn't sure.

Looks like a purty lil amel to me
