Has anyone else had problems with their Microclimate stat? I'm having to adjust it daily as the tempurature swings wildly between 20° and 40° even when set on the lowest setting.

I've ordered a new stat (Habistat) but it won't arrive for a while because of Easter.

I'm not impressed with the quality of these stats. :/

A 600w stat will be fine as the mat will only consume the power it needs. The rating means "up to 600w"

Thanks. :)

The only pulse stats I can find online are 600w. Do you know if there are any 100w or if the 600w ones would be safe with the a 12w mat?

Those aren't that good, even from Habistat you'll still get quite a variation in temperature ( though yours would suggest the thermostat is faulty ). I'd go for pulse thermostat for heatmat and ceramics ( I have those and they keep the temps very stable ) - it's well worth the extra money, or dimming thermostat with bulbs.

It's on/off.

Is it pulse or on/off ?
