HI,

I am currently feeding Sid 1 small mouse every week and was wondering if there is a guide as to the size of mouse and length of time between meals as a snake gets older. Sid is currently 2 years old (not 100% sure her birth date, but it will be 26th June from now on as that's the date I bought her).

I started feeding her on Pinkies, then after a few feeds fed her her usual pinkie then a Fuzzie. I fed her for a while on Fuzzies and then fed her 1 Fuzzie and a small mouse and now feed her on small mice.

How do you know to increase food size and how often to feed.

Sids current stats are:
Age: 2 years (ish)
Length: 68cm
Weight 134g

She has shed twice since I have had her, both have been full sheds.

I feel a right plonker now. I googled it last night and he's taken the name of the guy from Kingpin, now I know why it sounded familiar, I just couldn't place where I had heard it before. Now I feel a right Munson. :D :D

Thanks for the link. I'll have to weigh my defrosted mice to get an idea as to what they are and how much I am feeding Sid.

The shop where I get mine from call them :-
Pinkies, Fuzzies, Small mouse, medium mouse and large mouse.

** EDIT **
Here are the UK sizes as I understand them to be:-
1 Pinkie (2-3g) every 5-6 days (Snake = 4-15g)
2 Pinkies (3-4g) every 5-6 days (Snake = 16-23g)
Small Fuzzy (5-7g) every 6-7 days (Snake = 24-30g)
Fuzzy (7-9g) every 6-7 days (Snake = 30-50g)
Fluff (9-12g) every 6-7 days (Snake = 51-90g)
Small Adult (14-20g) every 7 days (Snake = 91-170g)
Adult (20-30g) every 7-x days (Snake = 170+)

Also, I am lead to believe that this was created by a guy called Roy Munson, is this correct??
** END OF EDIT **

Going by the linked guide Sid should be eating weaned, which I'm presuming are medium sized mice as the next and last size up on the chart are adult.

Somewhere on here is a feeding guide giving you a rough idea as to weight = feeding amount. 'Those who know' can you put the link up to it? Have been told how to but have forgotten!
Am sure you will find your answer there. xxx
