Hi there, thanks for getting back to me so quick. Ive had him for around 2-3 months now, and he just finished shedding last week. also when he bit me earlier i had eaten a pack of beef monster munch around 1 hour before handling him.

hiya, welcome to the forum.

Did he have a clean shed?

maybe he liked the smell of MM and thought it might be tasty...

always wash your hands thoroughly before and after handling your snake -)

heya and welcome
WS means did all the shed skin come off, particularly the occular scales or 'eyecaps'?
retained eyecaps mean the snake still can't see properly which might explain the change in behaviour. if you've kept the shed skin check the eyecaps are there, if you've binned the shed, have a good look around your snake's eyes.

yes its best off removed, otherwise it can cut the blood supply off in the tail causing it to go necrotic and drop off!!do a search for 'bath' that should bring up all the info you need (rather than clogging up your intro thread with it all over again )
