Hey guys, ive had Bowser for just over a month now and hes doin great Eating well etc etc but im sometimes nervous of lifting him out, i had him out the other day and he jumped from my arm onto the floor, lucky he doesnt seem to be hurt in any way, but should i just keep bringing him out and he will calm down or is there any Pointers i can have? Any tips are appreciated. Hes a Beardie btw

Take it slowly, sit with your hand in the viv and let him get use to you, even leave a worn item of clothing in there with your scent on. Our youngest beardie was tamed by letting him eat mealworms and wax worms off my hand, OK he fit the tip of my finger once my mistake but this really worked for us and he's super chilled now. Just remember don't over do it with the worms they are a treat not a staple, we also found out that our beardies both love watermelon and will come and take that from your hands too.

In that case, continue liftin him inside the viv for now. At the end of the day, it's how you feel most comfortable.
The more comfy you are, the better the snake will be.

If you decide to take 2 months before lifting him any further, then it's up to you, however, i'd imagine that snakie will decide to have a crawl up your arm before long.

Read the post, but somehow managed to mix up my thoughts. doh.

How close were you to sunlight or something similar?

Mine have jumped before whilst heading for a sunny patch on the window ledge.
