Ihave had my corn snake about 5 years, I always thought it was a boy due to length of tail but I have found eggs. Is this normal for a snake after 5 years with no other eggs. She has not been near a male so I know they are not fertile. She is more active now and will not feed. Shed week and half ago.

yeah it is normal. female corns do sometimes lay "slugs" infetile eggs but i am unsure why.

it's a freaky phenomenon but yes they can lay slugs/infertile eggs without a male being involved. she will usually have shed a week or two before laying and will shed about a week after laying too, sometimes they won't resume feeding till after their post-natal shed so don't panic yet
