So i put this box in the viv as a hide till i got a decent hide,
was off a rifle scope i got a while back and had obv been taped shut at one end inside, being a fragile purchase obv they didnt want the box opening or whatever, anyway so i got up this morning and somehow she`d managed to slide between the edge of the box and the duc tape and then pull off the tape (panicking maybe)so i had to sit for half an hour trying to cut the tape then remove it without damamaging scales, there was a bit of skin peeling around the head but scales seemed alright, anyway this probably messed up all my hard work of letting the snake get used to her viv etc without handling, anyway the moral of this story is Tape+Snake = Bad idea |

no one will have ago at you on this forum. unfortantly you learnt the hard way that scales and tape dont mix like vodka and coke lol
i heard some were that a snake can go into a shed straight away if it has damaged scales not sure how true this is. |

| there are no missing scales but it looks a bit like some are "out of line" aboviously stretched her skin abit, will a shed sort that out?? |

| nah no Broken skin, just the top layer peeled a wee bit around the head (which would be removed on a shed anyway) |

so everything seems great, shes had her bath(which to my surprise she seemed to enjoy) and i just let her choose when she wanted to come out. i handled her for a few mins after and made sure to touch the bit where the scales are slightly messed up to see if it was painful and she didnt seem too bothered about being touched around that area so i think evrythings fine, she still flinches a bit when i pick her up but thats just normal i assume, but anyway no major damage so great  |

| Same thing happened to me Kevin. I didnt know their was glue in the box and snakey got stuck to it. It was panicking trying to get of but it coulnt. Got it of with a sharp knife. Luckily snakey was ok, just lost a bit of skin but he shed 2 days later and it was ok. |

| aah looks like we`ll be looking good again soon then, funny tho when i was removing the tape she sat dead still, she does the same thing if i hold her lightly like a cm or so from her head... anyone else notice similar, hehe she just sits dead still till i move my fingers further down her body |
