I work in a school and you'd be surprised how many times I get told this myth.

It's this decades 'aligator in the sewers' story

Changed vets to my local ones, who say they are reptile experts. When i told them about the retic story they laughed. They said they hear that as often as owners say thier snake only grows as big thier tanks.

if they take you head first then they wont get past the shoulders, but if they take you feet first then a large retic might just swallow you

I think I'd prefer to be eaten feet first anyway- just imagine going down head first- you'd see the stomach getting closer just before the acid burns your eyes out

personally i think the law could change and get tighter on people who keep huge pythons coz lets be honest they can be pretty dangerous once at an enourmous size and heavier than a human being. but i dont think the law could stop us from owning corn snakes etc. i think they are trying to crack down on huge snakes like big pythons and boas and one i definatley would agree on if they got tight on who can own a DWA snake like a cobra or a rattlesnake. coz the power in their venom is the power of god
