my amel layed 7 eggs and only 2 survived but one has gone really squidgy and soft is this a bad sign im guessin

the first one looks good ! the second not so, the eggs should be firm and turgid soft and squidgy is probrably infertile ! im assuming shes a young or small female possibly her first clutch ?

i hope you have separated the male from her ? so there arent any more problems

i did seperate them but both stopped eatin and the both curled up and did not move so i put them back together and now they are fine so i really dont know what to do

Seperate them, you dont want the female getting gravid again.

ok, imagine how horrific it would be for a 13 year old girl to get pregnant.............................
then imagine how much more horrific it would be if she got pregnant again at 14!!

separate them asap for their health. they probably stopped eating due to changes in their (new?) enclosures. treat them like new arrivals, no interaction for a week then try a feed. don't handle them again till they're feeding regularly.

i have seprated them again but the male is striking at the glass now everytime i go near the viv. wil this behaviour stop?

he should providing his new enclosure is set up properly. like i said treat him like a new arrival and he should be fine. snakes aren't sociable creatures, if you see 2 'cuddling up' together that are sharing a viv they're really just both after the best spot in the viv

usually you see the slit in the egg and they should hatch within 24 hours, any longer than that and they might need help if it's a weaker hatchling or particularly tough egg.
