Nimbus has always taken his mice better if they are warmed up first in some hot water for a few mins just before I feed him.

I offered Patrick and Sid a rat each that I defrosted in quite warm water then dried them a bit with a hair dryer. They seemed to eat them alot quicker today even Patrick ate it. I normally defrost over a bowl of hot water so the rat never touches the water. |

PMSL, giving the mice a wash and blow dry before feeding. Don't forget to take the rollers out before giving them to the snake. :) |

If a bit of mousey pampering gets your snakes eating well then its not daft at all. Your snakes are beautiful by the way. |

I defrost my fuzzies on top of the vivarium for 2 hours then just stick them in my arm pit for like a minute or two to warm them up (THEY ARE IN PLASTIC) does the trick. |

Venom doesn't care, food is food he'd eat it fully frozen if he had the chance. Char I have to warm up with a hair dyer and make the mouse dance about and the babies I just have to warm them up. |

I've always found leaving mice to defrost naturally, near or on top of the vivs produces a great feeding response, as they know what's coming. Having said that, I did hair dry them a few times last year when my female was off her food a bit...which helped. Although my wife didn't see the funny side when she caught me doing it once! |
